4 staff members, 4 Easter recipes, who will take the crown? YOU decide.

Each day leading up to Easter Sunday we will be sharing a new Easter recipe made by our team. 

Contestant number one is Harry who has made these egg-cellent Easter cookies.

Contestant number two is Lia who has made this delicious chocolate Easter cake.

Recipe: 6 Eggs, 12 oz caster sugar, 12 oz Butter, 12 oz self-raising flour, 1 tsp Vanilla Extract, 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder, half a teaspoon of Baking Powder, Chocolate Mini Eggs, 

Method:

1) Pre-heat the oven to 160 degrees. 

2) Combine the butter and caster sugar together in a bowl until fluffy. 

3) Whisk the eggs together and pour this into the mixture and add the self-raising flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Mix the ingredients together in a bowl. 

4) Pour the mixture into a 10 inch cake tin. 

5) Put in the oven for 1hr and 45 minutes

6) Allow to cool and decorate using icing and mini eggs. 

Our next contestant is Chris who made this tasty Rice Krispie treat box. Why not make it yourself, it’s a simple recipe! No eggs-cuses.

Recipe: 

120g Butter, a whole box of rice krispies, 300g of Marshmallows and an assortment of chocolate pieces. 

Method:

1) Melt the butter in a saucepan 

2) Add the marshmallows to the saucepan and mix with the butter

3) Add the rice krispies to the saucepan and mix together with the butter and marshmallows. 

4) Once it is all mixed together, allow to cool. 

5) Mix in the assortment of chocolate pieces 

6) Put in the fridge to set
